It is hard to believe that it has already been ten years since Roots & Wings opened the doors to its first family; a young widow and her four children. 10 years since Roots & Wings joined the fight for families through orphan prevention and family restoration. 10 years of empowering children and strengthening families.
A decade of seeing children and adults, individuals and families transformed by Christ. We have seen how God continues to write beautiful stories of restoration, reconciliation, and grace in lives once overcome by brokenness, pain, and hopelessness.
Looking back I can remember feeling the whole range of human emotions. I can share stories of tears and anguish as well as stories of overwhelming peace and breathtaking joy. But at this moment what I feel above all else is a deep sense of humility and gratitude.
Why? Because God is always good and His plans are always perfect. And because despite our flaws and mistakes God continues to invite us to participate with Him in His work
