We wanted to expound a little bit on our need for missionary help, as mentioned in our last newsletter.
We are rarely looking for long-term expats to fill roles at Roots & Wings, as our focus is on having as much national leadership and staff as possible. As of late, through much prayer and consideration, we’ve really felt that bringing in one or more persons to help us grow and strengthen our ministry is needed.
The needs in our community are great and wide-ranging and that is why this role is so important for us to fill at this time — Roots & Wings has the potential to grow in crazy ways and you can help us build the programs and services to see it through.
Aside from the short-term volunteer positions listed in our newsletter, we are looking for an individual or couple to assist with ministry development. This person should have experience in ministry and should be willing to live in Mazatlan for a minimum of 2 years. This person should have a heart for working with impoverished communities, families and children, and a passion for developing targeted social services and the spreading of the Gospel.
We are looking for someone to come as soon as possible. The position is unpaid and we realize that raising support does not happen instantly. Having someone out by the beginning of Spring would be ideal. Please contact Robin or Rochelle at info@rootsandwingsim.org for full details. PLEASE spread the word about this position to anyone you think would be a good fit. We will be accepting applications and praying that God would bring the right person or family over the next few weeks.
