The Christmas season is a special time of year – and it’s just around the corner! At Roots & Wings, we are beginning preparations for our Christmas celebration – a special event to commemorate the birth of our Savior with a Christmas program, meal, and a special gift for each child!
Thanks to your Christmas donations each year, Roots & Wings is able to ensure that every child in our program feels special on that day. Because in the midst of a prettily wrapped box filled with clothes and toys, the truth of Jesus’ love resonates in a special way at Christmastime. The blessing has a ripple effect that extends into the community as the child’s family share in what God has done for them by allowing them to be a part of Roots & Wings.
When you make a donation to Roots & Wings Christmas Gift fund, your gift is combined with gifts from other donors to purchase gifts of equal value for every child in the program.
Beyond that, every family is blessed with a practical gift for each parent or guardian to remind them that they too are special and loved. And this year, we will also be adding the teenagers in Roots & Wings youth group to the list of gift recipients!
For many of the children and youth that joined Roots & Wings in 2020, this may be the very first time they receive a Christmas gift. We can’t wait to see the joy on their faces!
A gift of $50 helps provide a gift for one child. He or she will receive two full outfits, socks, underwear, and a toy or game. Each gift is personally picked out by a staff member that knows them, ensuring it’s a gift that is appropriate, meaningful, and something we know they’ll use and love.
